Easy Ana White DIY Sofa Table

Second DIY Furniture Build I Ever Made!!  I probably should have made a few easier pieces after my first project, our Pallet Headboard, before trying to tackle this sofa table.  Lots of frustration due to my lack of knowledge, but in the end I am sooo happy with our Sofa Table!  I am very analytical, sometimes to a fault, so I made this harder than it really is.  The plans are easy to understand if you don’t over think them!  See more on my Ana White DIY Sofa Table build below…

The Stain I used is a mixture of grey, black and a little white.  Start with the grey on the first layer, sand until you can see some natural wood coming back through.  Add black, brush on then immediately wipe off with a shop rag.  Last color is white.  Apply here and there, not all over every part of the table, just to add a distressed look randomly to the boards.  Then sand again.  The sanding is where you will get a different look depending on if you want it dark or light.  I went for a grey rustic look but also wanted some of the natural wood to show through so I sanded quite a bit with an Orbital Sander.

Most Used Tool – RIDGID Orbital Sander:
