Farm to Table may be the newest craze, but it actually has been going on for hundreds of years.  Farming is so important to everyone’s livelihood but in today’s world, it is harder to find chemical free (organic) that is reasonably priced.  Everything good for you always costs so much more, which leads some people to stick to the cheaper version, which isn’t as healthy.

Small Vegetable Garden Layout Ideas

If you’re working with a small space, there are easy plant combinations that you’ll enjoy harvesting. Try these ideas:

  • Salad garden: arugula, romaine lettuce, nasturtium
  • Salsa garden: chives, cilantro, tomatillos, hot peppers (Plant Tomatoes in a separate container, they tend to multiply very quickly)
  • Corn salad garden: bell peppers, sweet corn, purple basil
  • Veggie pizza garden: tomatoes, oregano, bell peppers
  • Pesto garden: spinach, garlic chives, sweet basil
